You can also opt for pickup or delivery, and bring the aromas and flavors of Giordano’s to your home. I don't think you will be disappointed, as long as you follow my title instructions.Everyone loves Giordano’s, and that’s why we’ve been a Chicago favorite since 1974! Stop by our Downers Grove restaurant, where we have a full menu with wine and beer selections. I give them top marks for a most excellent Veal Parmesan. Friday nights in the summer, there is a vintage car cruise on the main streets, so they must be packed. They have their own parking out back, which is a plus in the downtown location. They offer a lovely outdoor patio for dining, if it's too muggy, pick a table indoors. People didn't seem to have to wait a long time for their pizzas to bake. I'm sure that their a la' carte price would be double at a fancy restaurant. The price for my huge portion of pasta was $9.50. The pizza's I saw looked tasty, so I will have to take my friend's word for it. I finished it, so I had no room for the cannoli. Smothered in melted mozzarella cheese, while nested in thin spaghetti, with red pasta sauce, it couldn't have been better. I had the veal Parmesan, complete with a side of fresh Italian bread. The food arrived in it's own aluminum carry-out container, and was to die for. They give you a number, when you pay for your food, and bring it to your table when it's ready. Clean tables, and full napkin dispensers complete the centerpiece. I saw several other customers, waiting for a server to bring menus. My friends kept telling people how great the Italian food is at Angelo's, so I asked for directions, to see for myself. This is the first negative review that I have ever written….and disappointed that I felt compelled to do so. Service is where they have lost a family for good. Which I did and never shall return.ĭining is about quality food (I think they are starting to scrimp on ingredients), value ( they always were higher priced but I was willing to pay for good food), and service/presentation. When I told him I should get my order for free after experiencing this lack of delivery again, he told the girl to give me my f…king money back and to get out. Then it heated up we me saying this is no way to run a business, no way to treat customers, 6 o’clock means 6 o’clock and maybe they needed to get a clock. He said “sorry” and how Covid was affecting them and walked away. Finally Lou? The owner? Came out and I told him as well this was UNACCEPTABLE.and that I had told him that same thing the last time. A lady (wife of owner) came forward…but did not say much. Then I was told it would be about a 10 minute wait…UNACCEPTABLE….and I told her so in no uncertain terms. I do not believe this was intentional…but probably a lack of training. I pointed that out to her and she corrected the bill. I arrived at 6 pm and she rang up the order…incorrectly…not giving the special night price for the mostaccioli. I advised her that I needed it at 6 PM…50 minutes from now….and told her of my previous experience with it not being ready so I needed it at 6 pm since I had people depending on me. The girl who took my order told me 20-25 minutes. Tonight I called in an order at 5:09 pm for 2 pizzas and. My last experience about 2 weeks ago was the take-out was 15 minutes late and the quality had gone downhill. Tonight Angelo’s lost me for life as a good and loyal customer.
